PORTLAND/BOURSALT

Portlands are a much underrated group of roses. They carry the ‘old style’ flowers, are fragrant and very healthy. The shape of the plant and the good repeating of flowers make them a wonderful garden plant.
Popular at the beginning of the 19th century, the name derived from the Duchesse of Portland, the reputed introducer of the first of its type in England. Useful for smaller garden.
